Just wondering anyone else has conflicting middle names on documents and what you did.
My gut says to make it match my passport....
I wonder if this will throw a red flag...could something this simple do that when all documentation is valid?

Does the middle initial match the beginning letter of your middle name? If so, use the entire middle name when filling in the forms, there is no conflict there.

Some of my documents only have my middle initial, but my PP does show my given names in their entirety.

Don't leave it out, that would probably cause a mis-match; not including it when it matches an initial actually shown on official documents is probably not a good idea.

thank you for the reply
the sponsor's canadian passport (my husband) has NO middle initial. yet his US permanent resident card has a middle inital and his birth certificate states his full middle name. what a mess.
i will include all copies of all documents of course, but i believe this paperwork needs to match the passport exactly.
therefore, as of right now, we will NOT include a middle name or middle initial in the application so it matches his passport.
anyone else run into this????

I will enter the name as it shows in the Canadian ppte.
That's the most important ID of the sponsor, as is the proof of his Canadian citizenship.

I have the same issue. My ppte shows my 2 given names and 2 last names, every other document is different.
I entered the name as is shown in my ppte.

CharlieD10,

So I just want to clarify to be sure. I will be the sponsor... so, even though my passport only has my middle initial (J) written, on the sponsor information, I should write my complete middle name? Or since my passport says only my middle initial, on the sponsor information I should only write the initial as well?

From what I understand, you said to write what is on your passport, and in your case that happens to be your complete name, including all middle names...

Thanks for clarifying!

Tink

Tink, yes, match up what is on the forms with what is on your passport if you are using that to establish your identity and citizenship as sponsor. My husband's passport includes his two given names in full, so we completed all his forms with his full name.
