Passport getting expired

Hello experts

I have received ITA on 4th Jan 2017 and submitted all documents on 7th Feb 2017. My application is currently under processing. However my current passport is getting expired on 8th Jan 2018. Will that have any impact on my PR application ?

If everything goes well with the application then I might have to submit my passport to CPC Ottawa by July/Aug 2017 probably. Do I need to get my passport renewed before that ?

Order a new one in a month or so and update CIC. I believe they need at least a year when PPR is issued.

You have to order a new passport anyway so might as well do it now and inform CIC about it. You would have to land before your medical / passport expires, whichever is earlier.
