Hi everyone! Have a problem with my husband's passport. We applied our app on january. Only this month we found out that his passport gender is female. At the same time we received the gcms and alas! The gender of my husband is noted on the last page of the gcms. I already contacted the embassy that issued the passport and they are giving us a certificate that they made a mistake. My plan is to send this certificate to cpp-o.

1. Would i wait for our medical, passport request, and lastly pr card before we request for a new passport since the renewal of passport takes about 6 to 8 weeks?
2. Or shall we proceed on passport renewal while waiting?

Pls help?

Seems there's no one interested to tell advice. Hmm i probably do what u suggest. Thanks much!
You got a good advice already, no need to elaborate more on the subject (unless you would prefer option 2: gender reassignment surgery for your husband ;D)

Hahahahahahahahahaha

I all seriousness though, lonely planet, people on here don't tend to stay silent because they don't want to help but because they don't know the answer and don't want to give bad advice. I've never heard of this issue before so I'm guessing it's quite unusual

Have your passport fixed and send the updated passport to CIC? :)

As a man, I wouldn't really want to be travelling with my gender detailed as a female! =)
