Where are you travelling from? Most airlines won't let you travel with a passport that is valid for less than 6 months. You will need to renew your passport and use a new one. As far as entering Canada, expiring passport won't be a problem as long as the visa is valid.

If you renew your passport then read the following link

Thanks Sam. My Consultant told me the same However, as I am planning to travel a month before, I am not sure if airlines allow me to board flight.
When i called up different airlines, none of them are aware of "Immigration Visa".

There are two things : a) Visa Expiry - which wont be a problem as i am landing before.
b) passport expiry: Customer services does not have ans to it and no one to guide. I called up high commission and they are replying that i have to drop an email to enquire.

Not sure about PR. But last year I visited canada with one month expiry of passport and 10 days expiry of visit visa left via Emirates airline. No issues at that time
