Passport Expiry Date Extention

My FSW Visa was issued...I want to extend the expiry date of the same passport I have the Visa on (printed) before I travel to Canada...Do I need to notify CIC about the new info? will it be a problem? thanks in advance

How can you extend the expiry date of the passport?

In fact you can renew the passport wherein you get a new passport.

You will have to inform your visa office of the same and wait for their reply or you could be denied entry in Canada on arrival.

the passport expiry date can be extended only once... i wonder how you did not know that!!!
