Hello! Could anyone kindly let me know if it’s necessary to attach English proficiency test results when applying for a PGWP extension due to passport expiry?

Not required. PGWP extension has pretty much similar requirements to initial PGWP application. Refer document imm5583e.

in the form, it does say, POST-GRADUATION WORK PERMIT APPLICANTS MUST ALSO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING - 3. Proof of language proficiency for all applications submitted on or after November 1, 2024.
But when I called IRCC and asked them, they said it's your call; it doesn't explicitly say anything about it.

Sorry, I wasn’t aware of this update. I had my pgwp extensions in 2023 and 2024. It is better to provide the language proficiency test backup due to this latest update.

Yes! I am facing the same situation. I called IRCC and got the same response. They told me that it is not mandatory, but just reminded me to prepare all my materials by paper mail. . .
