Passport Expiring soon. What to do?

Hello,

My passport is valid till July 2016 only. Here are some queries which I have.

1. Am i eligible to receive the ITA?

2. I am going to renew it soon but lets say i get an ITA in any future draws and then will i still be able to apply for ITA and submit the documents with this passport which is expiring by July 2016?

3. I am from Mumbai any idea which is the fastest way to renew passport ?

Yes you are eligible.

If you get ITA you can apply with the current passport (you only need scanned copies anyway). You can always send case specific letter of explanation with copies of new passport)
This is normal.

3. I am from Mumbai any idea which is the fastest way to renew passport ?
What is the standard processing time? 4-8 weeks?
If yes, go for standard. They will need your new passport at the time PPR request only

Once you get ITA and apply for PR after a few months CIC will ask you to send your passport (PPR) for the final step for your PR.

Well i just got my passport renewed. Mine was also due till july 2016. My passport was renewed in 2 days. I applied for renewal under normal process and not tatkal. I think yours should also not take much time.
