Hi

Im asking this for a friend.

He has come to Canada on a study permit. The passport that was stamped with the Visa has expired and he has got a new passport from the Indian embassy.

The new passport doesnt have the stamped study visa, and hes learnt that it might be a problem.

My question is how does he get the study permit visa stamped on the new passport which is valid since the passport with the stamped visa has expired.

Please detail the steps to be followed.

Thanks

He takes both passports with him. If the initial study permit visa is still valid, he carries the expired passport and the new passport together.

HI KHP

Thanks for the reply . So he doesnt need to get the new passport stamped??
Ok Slight change. When that OLD passport was stamped it was stamped with the study permit which expired with the passport which was last month 2019.

However his actual study permit is valid till 2020.

What about filling in a TRV form? Is that required?

Regards
