Passport expired issue

I applied for TRV and few months i lost my passport and reissued another passport. I got a passport request. Should I submit the new passport without informing the informing IRCC about the lost? Or should I send a web form about the lost before submitting the new passport. ? Someone please help

you have to send a webform informing them of what happened and along with a full photocopy of the new passport. As far as I know they have sent in a passport request for the passport matching the number of your old passport, which will be different than the new one.
