Just to let you guys know that my friend who applied in Chandigarh CHC have received passport after three days with visa approval stamp on it. My friend did not received any confirmation email at all. just to let you know that its not necessary to receive confirmation email.

Its true that letter of introduction (Confirmation mail) is not really a compulsion but its still necessary (if you have it ) to be carried in order to get the Study Permit.
Its clearly written on CIC site that the CBSA Officer needs that Approval mail , as he needs the permit reference number to issue study permit.
