Passport Delivered at CPC Ottawa and Waiting for COPR ----- come in here, keep each other updated.

Hey Guys,

I had previously posted about asking for help regarding send your passport to CPC Ottawa. I contacted them using webform and they updated me that my passport has been received. My CIC portal also says application approved as of today and there is a new thing which appears on the portal as document status. does that mean my COPR has been issued? When can I expect to get my passport? What are the next steps?

I got the same update yesterday. This means COPR has been issued. Not sure about the timeline.

Nope, nothing. Passport copy arrived in Ottawa March 9th.

Finally i received my passports today. I am more happy to received my passports than COPR.
Passports delieved to OTTAWA on 18th Mar
Approved on 20th May
Received on 09-Jun-2020

Have received canada travel visa till Oct 2020 and i dont think i can travel by that date to Canada. Is someone else on the same boat. Can someone help me what are the alternative to extend the data of Oct 2020.

Got nothing. Delivered March 17th. Could it be that the passport copies got pushed behind all the passports?

No I haven’t. Got PPR March 9, passport copy received in Ottawa March 12.
Started to get super frustrated when passports received April 27 are getting approved!!

Have you called them? I’m in the same situation and running out of time on my visa. Very worried about losing my job right now because of this.

Mine is feb 2021,same as my medical exam approval date,everything was going fast for me then this covid19,anyways finally got it and happy about it.

Just got off the phone with them. They have a copy of my passport which was posted on mar 6th. I’m still waiting on my COPR. They told me It has a note saying will Print when situation improves. I’m guessing all passport copies are being put on hold until their office reopens. Could be waiting a very long time if that’s the case!

Kinda makes sense now. This expiry must be relating to the medical exam date. For me, the expiry is Sept 2020. Was wondering how is this gonna work when borders are closed? Any ideas?

Our passports were delivered on 18th March and I got our passports back today and they are same. No Stamp, No change, nothing. Everything is same.

Has anyone else got the same response from CPC Ottawa. I will be raising a web form today.

@Rangrez I am in the same boat. Our passports were delivered on March 17th and we got it back with nothing. They returned the passports and photographs. My guess is its because our medicals expired last week.

I called about 2 weeks back and got a very generic, "Yes we have your paperwork here, it will be processed once we get to it"

Did you raise a webform or called them to check? My medicals are still valid till mid july. I don't think this is the issue here. Someone forwarded me a CIC tweet that they are working on new work around for outside candidates.
