you know what I just checked my profile and its approved , I did not get the message either .Just see document status and Final decision got updated .

If photos are rejected, do they send back the passport or email us to send the photos again?

I know that VFS sends the passport back, not sure about Ottawa!

Invitation to Apply September 30, 2020
Confirmation of Online Application Transmission December 28, 2020
Acknowledgement of receipt - Application for permanent residence December 29, 2020
Biometrics Collection Letter February 8, 2021
Biometric Completed February 26, 2021
Medicals Passed 1st March 2021
Medicals Passed 2nd December 13, 2021
RFV January 5 ,2022
Passport sent January 10 2022
Application Approved Feb 1 2022
Passport Received back Feb 5 2022
