Passport copy legal?

Hi, Is it legal to make photocopies of the pages in my passport in order to submit with my wifes visa application to use as proof that I have been in her country with her for a long time? to use as proof that our relationship is authentic. Thanks

Of course. Not to worry. The document checklist for our region specifically requests copies of all pages...no problems...

I'm always careful of giving copies of my passport to people, so I always make sure to write something across the copy so that they cannot use it for nefarious activities...but not for this kind of situation...'

It is ok to do so. I also included copies of pages of my passport as proof that I went to visit my husband.
