Passport application--photocopies of IDs--do they need to be in color?

Hello,

I have forsaken my travel plans as it seems impossible to get a passport in time these days. I have one question though and I couldn't find a clear answer anywhere.

I am planning to mail in my application--do I need to send COLOR photocopies of my health card and driver's license or is black and white OK? I do not have a color printer unfortunately.

The instructions don't specify the photocopies being in color - so B/W should be ok.

Also:

If you submit photocopies, copy both sides of the document. A guarantor must sign and date each side.

Make sure your guarantor writes the dates on the photocopy when he signs
