Passport application, e-certificate of citizenship

Hi,

For passport application, the original certificate of citizenship is required. If you opt for an e-certificate of citizenship, you can only have a copy of the certificate since you have to print it. Will that be acceptable?

Yes, I took a color print of the e-certificate for my baby, and they accepted it. When she saw it first she asked me "Is this original", I responded "Its e-certificate" and she was fine.

Hi - Curious as to how you were able to get an e-certificate. I have my oath ceremony scheduled for next month and was wondering if I could opt in for an e-certificate. How long did it take to get the e-certificate? I assume timelines are different but just checking. Thanks in advance.

Some people replied to the oath invite email / had a word with oath officer during ceremony.

I am not at that stage but people who have gone thru it got it in 2-3 days.
