Passport and medicals done. What is the time frame to revert?

I submitted my passport along with medicals, updated proof of funds and police clearance certificate on 16 Mar 2012. What is the expected time duration that I would hear from visa office?
There was a problem with the medical of my wife. She had T.B. in 2009 and got full treatment till half year of 2010 and we submitted all proofs related to it. Will this delay processing?

I believe senior members could guide me in this regard.

thr is no need to contact ..they do their job according to their timelines.

I am Ok with it. But the only issue that bothers me is I may have to go to US in April on B1 visa which I already have and if I didn't get my passport back then should I ask VO to return my passport back?

You can ask them by going in person to NDVO, filling a PP withdrawal form and they will send it to your home address within 10-12 days.......or earlier, looking at the gravity of your situation....i have even heard that they gave PP immediately to one member here on forum (Harijannath)

There are no time;ines.........ppl are waiting since 3-4 months after submission but no revert and some get in 15-20 days......so its very random
