Hi all,

I have my test scheduled for the next week on Thursday ( Dec13th). Can I ask for the urgent processing to get my passport and plan for a trip during holiday ( let's say Dec 24th)? Do you think is doable or is it too tight? Anyone has similar experience? Any help with the process is appreciated.

Thanks.

You cannot apply for a passport until after you take the oath, not the test.

You need to have taken your oath, not your test. The two are not the same. Sometimes you might have the Oath on the same day as the test, but not many people are that lucky.

Thanks. Is it possible to ask IRCC to arrange for the urgent oath or is it too late? I think I know the answer :)

Well, if it's a Christmas holiday, forget it and tell them to make sure your oath takes place after you're back.
If your dad is in terminal phase and there's absolutely no way to get a passport from your home country, you may have a case...
