Passport: A family can share the References and Guarantor's?

Hello, me and my family (two adults and two kids) we are applying for canadian passport for first time. My question is since we need Guarantors and references, can we share? I mean my Guarantor could be also Guarantor for my wife and my kids? the same with my references, my two friends references could be references for my wife and my kids? or we need differents for each member of the family? Thanks

Well, there is nothing in the requirements saying that you cannot do it, so you obviously can do it.
