Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen, currently in Canada. I would want to pass my citizenship to my newborn baby in Iraq while having the sponsorship application of my spouse in process.

It is stated on the IRCC website, I would need to apply at the Canadian Embassy in Iraq.
I contacted the Canadian Embassy in Iraq and was told (automatic/generic reply) that I would need to contact the Canadian Embassy in Amman regarding this.
I then contacted the embassy in Amman and I received another generic reply that I would need to submit a webform in IRCC website

Can anybody please tell me the process if they have been in the same situation (and the same country if possible).

Thank you for your time and help.

You need to apply for a citizenship certificate for your child. Instructions are here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/proof-citizenship/about.html
