if this is the case so we should forget Canada, really some of us do anything to reach canada But they are making it harder and harder, then what use of AEO, all knows that if you cant get 67 points so u can get them in AEO, Really this is not fair enough is enough that's really too much..

Yes, it is getting harder. A lot of people are getting 67points without AEO. Why do you say it is not fair. Don't you think Canada needs to put in rules to protect its economy, etc. Canada's first priority should be its current citizens and PR, not citzens of other countries (who are not PR yet).

Look bro,

They have six selection factors to score 67 points and Each of them is very important.... The country has faced enough trouble with people having poor command on English so, they expect newcomers to have at least moderate level of communication in English as its their First Official Language.... I think this is quiet fair.... Canada is considered as one of the best developed nation and if they have to maintain this repo then, they will have to introduce some disciplined laws...

Yeah, It's true its the nation of people from all around the world but, it does not mean that they'll allow any tom, dick and harry to enter in Canada and then such people will mess the country up

I agree with tarakrs

BUT

You have 70+ points, you enter Canada with IELTS score of 9.0 out of 9.0 with no Canadian Educational degrees. Can you assure me to get a White collar job?

I am giving you the answer. It is NO ! Plain NO.
no Canadian degree, no white collar jobs, so this wat or the other, the target would be missed by Canadian Govt. they have to find an alternative solution.

Don't you see why it is important not to let those in without good language skills when even those with good language skills cannot get a job. At least Canada is letting us with points, skills, etc in rather than saying you cant get a job despite 70+ points so you cannot immigrate to Canada. Now if we immigrate, we are going with a full picture so it would be our fault for taking the risk.

To stop the argument, I would say here is, It is our decision to apply for Canada. Now, since we have decided this we'll have to follow their rules. We can't set our own rules. They have asked for good skill in language so we need to provide that.

If we can't then its our problem. We have no right to blame them since, its not our country yet. We need to be practical now. I have lived in Canada for more than 4 years and I saw people who never had a Canadian education but, excellent command on English gave them opportunity work in Banks, Financial institutes etc.

English is the primary language spoken in Canada. Canada is following both the UK and Australia in enforcing a stricter English speaking critique in all new immigrants. Can anyone really argue against that logic?

And yes, a higher educated person whom is unable to speak English well will NOT get a job over someone whom has a lesser education but speaks English fluently. That is a fact.

I work for one of the largest retailers in Canada, their HO employs almost 1000 people in a vast array of jobs. Nationally they employ somewhere in the region of 250,000 people. Number one on their hiring list, must be able to communicate efficiently and precisely in English (unless in Quebec then it is French) no matter what the job entails. From janitor to CEO, everyone takes the employers version of a IELTS, without passing you don't even get a chance, despite what your qualifications may be.

your right my dear but getting those marks wont prove my English, and even after 1 year the certificate will expire and I don't think my English will expire with the certificate valid date, maybe its important to know English when we want to migrate to any English country , you are right is there country not ours so we should follow their rules, god help us all and thanks a lot for your great answer you and tarker..
