Hi all,

Im applying for a PG diploma program for Sept intake. The thing is, i graduated in mid 2014 (B.Tech), and have only a little work experience. I worked in a mechanical Design firm for about four months. A small but legal, physically existing company, with about 15 employees. The pay was meager though :)

Upon resigning, I asked for an experience certificate, hoping to use it to boost my resume for future job applications. My manager was overall happy with my work there, and he offered me an experience certificate which would include the period from when I graduated, up until the date of my resignation. (i.e a bit more than a year in total).
I havent had another job from then, because I started doing the same design work independently from home.

Now, plans changed, as i am not looking for a job anymore. My concern is that should/can I produce this as a proof for the time gap after my graduation. If i choose not to, i wont have anything to show what i have been doing for the ~17 months after my graduation. ( or about 13 months after my IELTS exam).

Please help me out. I know this is not an ideal situation at all, but i dont want to risk losing my chance at higher studies.

No - don't use fake documents if you are applying for any visa to Canada. If you're immediately discovered, then you'll be refused, end up with a 5 year ban from Canada and can forget about ever being approved for any temporary visa to Canada in the future. If you're not caught immediately, your falsified experience will most likely catch up with you when you try to apply for PR. If you want a future in Canada, don't lie.

Does it help if its only partially fake, and that the employer supports me ??
:(
No. It's still misrepresentation and fraud. If you eventually apply for PR, you will most have to provide more than a letter from your employer to prove you have this experience. You won't be able to provide this additional evidence for the time period you didn't work.

Historical pay slips / evidence of payroll deposits into your bank account covering your entire period of employment. You obviously weren't paid during the periods of time when you didn't work and won't be able to provide this evidence.

Using the fraudulent documents may help you get a study permit - but it's going to become a problem once you try to apply for PR. Lying is always a bad idea. It has a nasty way of catching up with you later.

But ultimately your choice.

Some of my friends has submitted fake experience with employers support and they got the study permit.Don't know what will happen in future for pr and all.Still it would be better not to provide any fake documents..i guess.

Chances are you won't be caught when you apply for a study permit. However you will then have a HUGE problem on your hands when you apply for PR. For PR, the reviews and background checks are very thorough and lies are almost always caught (at which point your application will be refused, you'll be ordered to leave Canada and you'll be given a five year ban). Don't lie in your study permit - especially if you plan to apply for PR later.

can you elaborate "thorough checking" Because i had worked in the company so will there be any problem later
If you worked for the company and all of your work experience and duties there are real - you don't have a problem. If you worked for them but are lying about the type of role you had and your duties - then you have an issue and should expect problems. No - I'm not going to elaborate on "thorough checking". If you want to lie in your application - you're on your own - I'm not going to help you by explaining how people are caught.

Man, you dont need to do this. Just be honest. Visa approval does not only depend on employment. There are other factors taken into consideration. Focus more on your strong points like education, ielts score, etc.
