Hi all,

I have one question. I currently have a full time job as well as a part time self-employment (tutor).
I do file a tax for my tutoring job. I do this job around a few hours a week.
When I file my tax, I actually have loss of income so I get more refund.
Is it bad to have a part time self-employment that loses money even though this work experience will not give me any points ?

Thank you !

Hi uyuki314,

Well i'm not an expert to advise but here's my opinion,

1. If you need to gain points for tutor then you need to submit documents showing number of hours etc etc..as you wont be getting any points you dont need to submit part time documents

2. It will be good if you can show that tax filing is also due to 0621, other than that it is not necessary and doesn't matter to show that other transactions are involved in tax filing whether it is adding up or reducing the tax.

BTW i'm also 0621 and getting docs ready before creating EE, good luck to you!

regards,
sramani

Doesn't matter to your PR application if it doesn't give you any points. You can remove this job entirely from your PR application.

Hi, I'm also in this situation. Are you 100% sure about your answer? When building my CEC profile, I would not need to record this particular work experience as I do not expect to get any points from it? This will not be considered by CIC as withholding information at any point, even if I mention it later as part of my personal history if and when I receive an ITA?

Thank you for the help!

For the EE profile, you do not need to include everything. Here you can include just your full-time job.

Later, if you get an invitation to apply, there is one form, Background Declaration, where you have to declare EVERYTHING. If you leave something off of this form, IRCC could get prickly about it.
