Hello All,

I worked on a Part Time Permanent position with NOC code 2174 for 2 months.
My weekly hours while doing this job were 37.5

Can I count this job towards my experience for Express Entry under CEC category?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Why are you calling it part-time though? Anything above 30 hours per week is considered full-time for express entry purposes.

Yes you can count that experience as long as it was paid, NOC 0/A/B and not done while being a full-time student.

Thanks DelPiero07 for prompt reply...

The position I was working on was a Part Time Permanent position. But i was given 37.5 hours every week without any gaps.
And yes it was a paid position and valid under NOC A category.

My employer has written PART TIME PERMANENT on my reference letter, is this valid for the express entry ?
- The exact line is, We hereby confirm that XXXXXXXXXX with Employee Id. XXXXXXXX was employed Regular - Part Time with XXXXXXXX as an Associate Computer Applications Support. He was employed in the said position from 22-June-2015 to 28-February-2016.

Is there any issue if my job was a part time job ?

Again thanks for the help.

IMO it's fine as long as your weekly hours are stated in the reference letter.

If that employer considers that part time I don't want to know what's full-time for them :p

Both full-time and part-time work are eligible. Regardless of how your employer labels it, if it was 30 more hours per week, then IRCC will consider it full-time. The letter must state the number of hours worked per week.
