There are almost no taxes (except CPP and EI) for such earning. Anyways, no way it is enough to pay international student tuition.ou'll be making around $200 per week before taxes
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/good-news-to-all-future-international-students-t185469.0.htmlPlease let me know if it will be possible to study and work, also will it be permitted to start work as I land in Canada. Do I need to take permission from University?
From June 1st, you won't need any kind of permission to work off-campus but not more than 20hrs/week and before that you need to have off-campus work permit.princeraj26 said:Hi Guys,

By new law active June 2014, an international post secondary student will be authorized to work up to 20 hrs per week. So I think you just will need to take care about taxes.princeraj26 said:I have 10 years of exp in IT and planning for Masters in CS. Is not it included into student fees (and usually a less amount)? Poor Torontonians.A student metro pass in Toronto is $108.
indeed poor torontoiens ..for us here in montreal it is $45 if ur under the age of 25 and $75 if ur not. And like I said it is a rough estimate and varies from city to city....Regina said:Is not it included into student fees (and usually a less amount)? Poor Torontonians.
Huh? Where did you get that from?usman_14pk said:Also, what I am perceiving is, you will work with your employeer from home (freelancing). So you are allowed to do so even before June 1st and there is no need to take permission for that from anyone.
Nope. It is not included. That student price IS a discounted. A regular Metro pass is near $130Regina said:Is not it included into student fees (and usually a less amount)? Poor Torontonians.
Being an IT student/professional, you can do as much freelancing (work at home i.e elance, odesk, freelance, etc...) as you can.itstime said:Huh? Where did you get that from?
