Part time job for international students

Should we work at a part time job that does not deduct tax and give full payment. The employer wants me to pay at the end of the year? Should I join this job or look for another?

If your prospective employer is offering you work without deducting any taxes, then I would strongly urge you to look for another job.
By doing this, the employer is most likely trying to pay you below minimum wage and thus would not provide you with a work contract. Thus, you will have no protections or compensations available to formal workers (such as being injured on the job). Also, if he refuses to pay you at the end of the year or pays you a lesser amount - you will have no legal recourse.

As an International student, you are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week. Assuming you'll eventually apply for a PGWP or PR, its probably best to have all your dealings above board and be on the right side of the law.

20 hours per week is required for the off campus jobs. I can do on campus jobs along with it right?

Is the employer asking to pay you in cash? It is hard to know what you are referring to but the boss may just be referring to the ability to decrease deductions so you then you don’t get a refund. This is common when you aren’t earning a high income.

1. Sure you can work for their Canadian entity for a max of 20 hours per week during semesters.

Just want to make sure he is not saying on contract versus a percent job. This usually means no benefits, no sick leave, etc. What type of work will you be doing and how much are you going to make per hour?

Thank you for your reply. The work I'll do is managing and executing data science and analytics based projects. I will have to draft a quote for it. I've been doing the same job full time in my country. Is there a place where I can know how much do I ask for?
