Hi all
Im after some info on performing in Canada.
Briefly, im a Uk citizen and guitar tech for a guitarist in the UK who has been invited to be the opening act as a solo performer for an American band on a 3 week tour of Canada playing arenas.
Looking at the website it appears that performing artists and their essential crew can work temporary in Canada without a work permit but wondering what is deemed temp?
Also if we dont require permits can we just arrive in Canada with guitars and go through customs without any problems or do we need to carry some sort of paperwork or written letter from the American band that have requested our services.
Trying to contact the London embassy for info is impossible and they havent responded to my email.
Many thanks
Sean

Usually performing artists from UK could have documents done at Port of Entry with invitation letter and passport. But play safe, call CIC to verify.
