Thanks ! The flagpoling wasn't as we hoped for. I wrote about our experience under the thread "Flagpoling at rainbow bridge - Experience shared". But it's all done now.

In regards to e-cas, the last update was on May 2nd when I saw the DM on the Principal Applicant (me being the sponsor ;D). Even now, after 2 weeks, nothing has changed on e-cas, and no additional info. It doesn't say if they sent correspondence or anything else. On my side (the sponsor) on e-cas it still shows "In Progress".

The COPR was sent by regular mail (with a stamp of 2 Euros), in a brown envelope. It took about 2 weeks to arrive to Canada.

Good luck to you, and hopefully you'll get COPR soon as well.

Thanks again for giving me some more info!

We got the COPR today!!

Maybe we will go to "Peace Bridge" instead if people seem to be not the nicest at Rainbow haha.

Congrats again on the landing!

Just finished our landing at Rainbow Bridge! Took maybe 35-45 minutes tops! Popped into the states, turned right around and the officer in Canada processed it extremely fast, no questions.

Congratsssssss jmcrizzle!!!! How exciting to have "arrived" and that it was all smooth sailing!!!!

So I have a question for all you Paris VO applicants that have gone through this already.
We just got an email stating to fill out this form and send back. Supplementary Information: Your Travels Form IMM 5562
I understand that this form is only required by the Paris VO so no need to ask in the other forum ::)
My husband is the Principal Applicant and I am the Sponsor...
On the section of Spouses travel for the past 10 years I'm not sure how to fill this out...
On a couple of my trips to Canada I stopped off in other places in the USA to visit family while enroute to or from visiting my immediate family in Canada.
New York for a week to visit a cousin on my way back home to Spain. Another trip I went to Denver 1st for a week visiting family then on to Canada for a month....
My question is, do I need to detail separately these visits enroute or just put destination Calgary, Canada and leave out the detailed enroute visits??
Any suggestions??

BTW: We haven't received SA yet on Sponsor but I guess Paris VO asking for this additional form means that we got it??... They started working on our application April 19, 2016 and both sides still say "In Process".

I had my lawyer do IMM 5562 for us, however I do recall having to fill out it fairly detailed. I remember the lawyer had created a "additional IMM 5562 information" document, because his office even put my simple detours from when I was in Europe on it. For example I traveled through Nice, France and was only there for a couple days, though he put that info on there. They were very thorough. Although, I'm not 100% sure how detailed it is supposed to be. Hopefully some other forum members chime in and offer advice!

the way i read it.. you can put as detail as possible.. with me, it's impossible. i live at a border town; sometimes i go to the US for 20 mins just to drop off mail or return library books. i go across probably once, sometimes twice a week. i just wrote weekly shopping trip. plus i dont think the background check is on sponsors .

Thanks so much for your insight jmcrizzle!! This is exactly what I ended up doing.... detailing it all. I don't want them to question anything and delay it longer for something so trivial ;)

me too I had had 'made decision' today , I am also from Spain! although my application was outside Canada and I thought it would be analyzed in Paris but I have a working holiday visa and for this reason my application was studied in Ottawa anyway now it does not matter! how much longer to finish? my working holiday visa ends on July 3rd!

Hi QBCND!

I think you shouldn't be worried. It usually takes from 3 days to 2 weeks till you get the CORP in the mail. My application was processed in Paris and this visa office sends out all the documents very fast, therefore i hope to receive it next week. However i have no idea about the Ottawa visa office but i guess they are very fast too if you check the timeline.

Hi !
My "decision made" appeared on May 24th (2 weeks ago)...
I hope it's a good news but I still didn't received anything yet.

Should I still wait or try to email Paris VO ?

Thanks,

Dong

Hi Dongrongwen!

If you live in Canada it usually takes more time till you receive the application. They use regular post...so that's why you may have not received anything yet. I was checking some timelines, and people who applied out-land living in Canada have received their COPR in 3 weeks. I am pretty sure you are about to get yours :)

By the way, i have to say i am a little bit disappointed with Paris Visa Office. It used to be one of the fastest ones and now it seems that everything is much slower.

Hi LMG !
Thank you for your reply !

In that case I probably should receive news this week or next.

Patience will be my best friend !

I will update my timeline as soon as I receive the letter.

Hi LMG and Dong !

Thank you for your reply.

I hope to have this week the CORP! :). I think they made the decision on Friday, June 3rd and the website will automatically update on Sunday June 5th and can see 'Date modified: 02/05/2016'

Let me know when you have the CORP!

good luck,
David
