Hello all,
My husband didn't do his medical upfront because we didn't want to much time to pass and have the risk of having to redo it.
Well, exciting news!! We just got the request!!!!! That is such a great sign that things are progressing towards the end!!!!! ;D
The letter was dated August 4th, 2016
Hopefully from the time they receive the medical, DM will come fast!!!!
I think there is a good chance for us to go to Canada before the snow falls. It would be nice for my husband to experience some nice weather before Winter.

Congrats!!!! Wish I knew what was going on with our Application , Haven't heard a thing since they started processing in Early March ... Lawyer sent a Request for update the 28th of July and still no word , medical school done , fees are paid ..... But status on line has not changed still says in process :'(

I hate the waiting mine is may 2nd they requested additional information a week ago and nothing has changed since

Can someone please give me an insight as to if its a bad thing or good thing that we didn't get any additional document request ...our application has been processing since early March ...I don't know what to think But sure am getting very stressed out :'(

I know the feeling I don't thing it's a bad thing that they didn't ask that men's that they got everything that they needed you can order the notes and it can take up to 30dats and they will tell you what's happening with you application good luck

Hi everybody, im writing here to share my story with immigration to throw some weight that is on my chest, we applied in 18 august 2015, they asked me for new police check and interview in march, the asked to redo medical exams in 20 june my ecas showed decision made in 28 june then showed they send me corespendence in 6th of july, but we didn't get anything so we send them inquiries three time, once they said that it was mistake and that our application still in process, then in august 5th send us email saying that they are ready to issue permenant resident visa and to send them passport and pictures and letter stating my height and the color of my eyes so i did send them all these via vac, then in 7th august i checked my ecas i saw that it went back to in process so asked about it here they said to not worry about it, and i told my representative so he send them inquiry , today we recived email saying that the email they send to us in 5 th august was mistake and to not send my passport and it may be another interview and we will get instructions in the coming days, so now me and my wife we are waiting for a year knowing that normal proccessing time for my country is 8 months, we still in shcok my wife is dpressed and crying and me im in my country im feeling powerless and feeling as if my couple life and our future is game on the hands immigration canada that is not fair at all

I never got acknowledgement for OWP application.
I applied for PR in Mar 2015. This application is under process and we have got SA.
Applied for open work permit in May 2016...dint get acknowledgement for this . My original work permit is expiring this month. I don't know how to inquire about status of this OWP since I don't even have an app. No.
Please help, does Cic usually send acknowledgement for the receipt of OWP application.

If the application was sent as part of an inland PR application, they will sent an AOR, then usually just the OWP after a little time has passed. Your App # should be on your SA, and you can reference that when you speak to CIC.
