For sure some very unpleasant and nasty things that are happening right now in Europe and around.. But why only Paris?

You are 100% right but you can't blame the inattention to tragedies outside of western countries on people, blame it on the media who give no attention to atrocities in other places, Africa is a prime example. What happened in Lebanon and many other places is more than worthy to mention, but unfortunately its the media that is at fault by picking and choosing what to cover.

Well, I was not trying to blame anyone, that was a rhetorical question only.
Snowisland has brought up a very sensitive and important subject (for which I am glad), and indeed, we should worry about what is happening. This planet is too small to dismiss such actions.
