Parents Visitor Visa to Canada

Hi,
My sister is currently holding a PR in canada. My parents want to visit her on visitor visa. Can my sister show proof of funds in this case? Or if I can show the proof of funds on my parent's behalf?
Are both the options possible?

It is possible, provide an affidavit that you are sponsoring their trip or in case of your sister, provide a notarized statement that she'll sponsor their trip and pay for all dues.
Better option would be that you open a join account with your father or mother and deposit enough funds like 20,000 CAD for few months and then apply.
