Hello Everyone,

My parents applied for visitor visa on June 2024 from India and got refusal on Oct 5, 2024. I need advice on how to strengthen my application when re-applying. The timeline is as follows,

Timeline:
Applied: June 13, 2024
Biometric collection letter: June 13, 2024
Biometric given: June 17, 2024
Biometric and Background check: June 18, 2024
Final Decision (Refusal): October 5, 2024

Reason:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

Purpose of Visit:
It was a genuine request for spending time with their son (me) and for Vacation for 2 weeks from the first week of October, 2024. The following itinerary was mentioned in the application
Itinerary:
Day 1 - October 3rd (anticipated) - Landing in Canada (Toronto Pearson Airport), Son will pick us.
Day 2,3 - October 4 and 5 - Spending time as family and settling down.
Day 4 - October 6 - Exploring Toronto downtown, CN Tower visit, seeing Sunday activities taking places around downtown.
Day 5-8 - October 7-11 - Our son will go to work, we stay at his house and in the evening will probably go shopping, dinner or any entertainment centers.
Day 9 - October 12 - Will drive to Niagara falls, explore activities in Niagara.
Day 10 - October 13 - Will Drive to Torrance Barrens and spend time with family under the stars. Might get postponed or pre-poned depending on the weather for clear sky.
Day 11 -12 - October 14 -15 - Son takes vacation, Drive to Montreal, Stay in Marriot Residence Inn(Montreal Downtown), will book depending on changes in our plan, visit Biodome, Notre - Dame Basilica, Mount Royal.
Day 13 - 15 - October 16 - 18 - Spend time as family, If possible explore nearby tourist spots.
Day 14 - Will leave Country by the weekend (October 19 or 20)

It was mentioned in the application that in case of any processing delays, we will move this schedule to later dates.

Funds:
It was mentioned in the application that my parents will be taking care of their own expenses. They will be staying with me, and 20,000 CAD was shown as proof of funds(Bank statements, FD's, Business transactions) for their visit. Additionally, as a secondary source of funds and supporting documents, we also attached my proof of funds and my payslips.

I have requested GCMS notes. Please advice on what to change when we re-apply. Thank you in advance.

Not enough funds, no ties to return and probably your status in Canada.

Same thing happened with me. I applied for my parent's visa in October and got refusal in December with the exact same reason that you've mentioned. Did you get any update on GCMS notes? Does it contain more info which will be useful for re-applying?
