Have you investigated ticket prices yet? One way tickets are typically more expensive that round-trip.

Hello

Yes I have looked and it's about the same. Their return would be cheaper because it's booked way more advanced... I just wanted to see if it would be an issue at the immigration or can i get say an itenirary for their return? thanks

Hi,

I recall a similar question before and the poster ended up with purchasing roundtrip tickets but cancelled the return leg and got a refund with an option to purchase return tickets at a later date. Reason for this is it is cheaper to get a round-trip ticket with a fixed short duration (1-2 months) rather than 6 months-1 year and maximize the length of visit.

Your parents may not have problems entering Canada, but exiting immigration in the PH - usually if the visa is a TRV for any other country (hence temporary travel, travel for leisure/tourist visa) - they require presentation of a return ticket.

/hope this helps..

Could I purchase two separate tickets instead of roundtrip. For the reason that I could refund the return ticket. If the purpose is for the PH immigration. Please i need an advise on purchasing ticket for my Mom. Thanks!

If she is immigrating, no need for a return ticket - one way ticket will do. If she holds an immigrant visa, then no need to present a return. Immigrating is different from a temporary visit.

But if she has a TRV, she needs to present a return ticket as proof of intention to come back to the PH after her visit. Typically immigration personnel in the PH looks for this from departing citizens holding a a visit/tourist visa.

/all the best....
