I need to visit my son after 8 years, i dont know how to write the purpose my visit and how to explain it, please if anybody can help me and give me one sample letter of purpose for Travel visa to canada

You don't need to write the letter. Instead, tell your son to narrate himself - indicate the length and dates of your staying, purpose of your visit and explain.

You need an invitation letter from your son in Canada - NOT the other way around!
