Hello everyone!
Not sure if this is the right thread to post this-

I have applied for my parents in August 2022 for my graduation but didn't receive any updates yet.

My parents situation is kinda twisted- my parents are Pakistani but they live in Africa(Mozambique). So they applied in 2016 and my dad got a refusal and my mom conditional approval (single entry only). Now they applied again in 2022 on the bases of my graduation, but guess what, my grad happened in October and they have still not responded yet.

Now I have been approved for my PR(shukar) and I was thinking if that could help a little to speed up my parents visitor visa? Or should I update IRCC that the intention has now been changed as I want them to visit me as its been a while.

Any suggestions or help is really appreciated! Thank you~

Hello, My parents went to IOM for 2nd X-Ray today after 90 days of 1st X-Ray, they informed them that my parents Seputum result came negative but 2nd X-ray result is same as like the 1st one. Now they said that you both are clear from here & you dont need to come back here but you have to consult to pulmonologist for final opinion. (IOM gave the adress of pulmonologist).
What is this? Did anyone face this situation in this group? Thanks

Yes one of our friends went through similar situation for his study permit application. Once the results for re medical comes fine - they refer to pulmonologist who do checkup- consult past history (TB if any) and send his notes back to IOM.
Goodnews is that it wont affect your visa , and after these formalities are done you get Approval/PPR.

Yes we got request for medical invitation, appeared for Medicals last Friday. Waiting to see now how long it shall take for PPR, i heard its not too long a wait between the two.

How many days after medical passed for Passport request?

I have submitted my mother supervisa (Pakistan) application through the consultant here in Canada on Jan 02 2023, Past biometrics were attached and the upfront medical done prior to sending the application.She has two refusals already. Its been no update since then...

Yeah, the understanding used to be that PPR arrives within a couple of weeks of medical done. I am approaching 8 weeks now and not a peep from IRCC.

When we put in an application in August, the average time was around 7-8 months. So we were expecting something in March. Medicals have been completed since Feb 2nd but no updates since. I suppose you should expect to last at least 9 months. If it comes faster, it will be great.

I know a lot of people who applied in December are waiting. I think the average processing time is around 3 months these days for Pakistanis.

Yes you are right. My wife got visa in 2 months. I am still waiting for my approval. We applied together. in Jan 2023.
