Hello, I am a Canadian PR and am applying for separate visit permits (not super visa) for my mother and my parents-in-law and I had a question about proof of funds.
I will be financing their trip myself and wanted to know if I need to show bank statements and how much money there needs to be in there.
The issue is I do not maintain a high balance in my account, however, the transaction history shows high payments for my salary.

Alternatively, can I provide a copy of my NOA or T4?

if its visitor visa, they have to show their own funds…your account balances will not be considered, that being said they also have to show strong ties back home like owning house/land, other children, other international travel history etc
how much fund they should show is again depending on the length of trip, in short it has to cover two way airfare and their expenses here

For my parents visit visa i did not show their bank statements. Instead i just showed mine with my NOA, most recent pay slip, employment letter and it worked. You need to show strong ties of your mother and parents in law for example their retirement benefits, medical benefits, etc if they are retired. If they are working then their salary slips etc. Also show any property they own. Bottomline: mention as many reasons as possible of their return to their country. Good luck

Yes you dont need an appointment for passport submission. And yes you can pay in cash.

Anyone here apply supervisa for both parents? How do you submit the application? Do you need two GCKey Accounts? Do you fill out IMM 5484 for both parents?

Also has anyone used the new IRCC Portal? Does it work for supervisa or only visitor visa? I have seen some applicants say they got visitor visa instead of supervisa when they applied through the new IRCC Portal.

Does anyone know that how long it takes to get your passport back with visa stamped. It’s now 2 weeks and still says under processing at IRCC office. Please share your timeline. Thanks

The average processing time is 7 days. If its been 2 weeks for you, ill suggest contacting VFS office where the passport was submitted.
