Hi all,

I am a PR in Canada from April 2018. I want to apply for TRV for my parents for two weeks on my birthday this year.

My father works as a part-time Accountant in India in few local companies. He does file his income Tax Return annual for approximately INR300,000/CAD5,500 that is INR25000/CAD500 per month. My questions are as under:

1. Out of 4 local companies he works in, only one of them pays him directly in his bank account (INR8000/CAD150 per month). I can arrange for a letter on the company's letterhead stating that he is a full time employee working for xx years at a monthly salary of INR8000. However, the remaining 3 companies pay him in cash, but we don't have any proof of it as it is all part-time, without any payslips. Is it ok to stay silent on the remaining 3 companies - but my concern is, that his income in the ITR will not match with the amount credited as salary in bank account or the amount mentioned in the employment letter from company 1. What is the best possible solution for this?

2. He has around CAD15000-16000 in his bank account as of now which has been saved over time. Apart from the salary from Company 1, I also transfer him approximately CAD400 per month and my name shows up in his bank statement. Will this also be an issue that the funds in his bank account were also partly contributed by me over time?

3. In the invitation/sponsorship letter, I am planning to say that I will bear their travelling expenses in Canada. I will also attach my bank statements (bank balance CAD8,000-10,000) and my employment letter etc (annual income approx CAD90k). Will this help in my case?

Thanks,

Thanks,

1. don’t lie. If he is only working part-time he should not get a lettersaying he works full-time. CIC knows people get paid in cash. Explain the actual situation

2. Likely not but there is nothing you can do about it. Is the 15k liquid? If in fixed deposit that can be an issue.

3. Not really but somewhat. TRV applicants must show they can pay for their own travel costs. If you had very little savings there is likely to be sone concern and there is a bit more flexibility when CIC knows that parents are staying with their children.

Thanks so much for your reply.

1. Okay I will explain the whole situation and have 4 employment letters with details of salary earned from each of them. Will also mention that slary is paid in cash. Is it also necessary to attach payslips as well? Because the companies do not issue payslips for part-time work at his place.

2. Yes, 15k is all liquid.

3. Ok, then i will stay silent on sponsoring the trip for them.

Thanks again!
