Parents Super Visa

Hello,

I need some help with applying for Super visa for my parents in Canada. My parents are already in Canada on a visit visa and they are settling down really well.

I was wondering if I want to change their visit visa to Super Visa since they have couple of years of visa already just for the fact that they can stay long in the country so what is the process like and what form should I fill in? Should I apply online or mail the forms?

I would greatly appreciate if someone can provide me some insight to it!

You cannot change from TRVs to super visas. They must apply - from scratch - for super visas from their home country.

You can, however, apply to extend their current visitor status (on their TRVs) for up to 2 years. It is called 'Parents and Grandparents – Authorized Period of Extended Stay' sent to CPC-Vegreville. The eligibility criteria are the same as those for super visas i.e. you must meet LICO, buy medical insurance, etc
