Seeking advice regarding my mother's ongoing Super Visa application:

My mother already has a Canadian visitor visa and she has travelled here twice for 5 months each. We initiated her supervisa in Feb 2024 so that she could live here for longer period. She gave her medical tests on 7th April 2024 and she was asked to give few more tests, Her creatinine levels were reported as high 1.9. She was asked to give a test to check for TB which didn’t get anything abnormal and we were told by the hospital that reports are fine, but after a week we got an email to get her retested for Creatinine and Urine examination after 2 months. When we consult our doctor at Fortis hospital, they have told that although her creatinine is high but nothing alarming at her age and this has been stable for last 6 years. They have done some more tests but nothing can be done immediately to reduce creatinine levels.

  • If the doctor gives us a recommendation that my mother’s kidneys are stable and there will be no such alarming risk, will that be relevant when she will go for her test. What are the chances for her to get the Super visa done?
  • Secondly, if her supervise gets rejected, her visitor vosa will still remain in place and will that too be effected?
Pls advice on this

Can we do medical after submitting the application, before cic requests for medical for supervisa?

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could provide me with some information, given my case:
  • Super visa application submitted on August 31, 2023.
  • Biometrics completed on September 4, 2023.
  • No update since then.
I called IRCC a couple of months ago and was told that I just need to wait. However, it seems awfully long time time. Any advice?
Thanks!

Seeking Advice on Super Visa Insurance for Parents with Pre-Existing Conditions (Diabetes)

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to file a Super Visa for my parents and I'm looking for insurance policies that cover pre-existing conditions. One of my parents has stable diabetes, requiring regular hospital visits every six months and occasional lab tests to monitor the condition.
We plan to bring a six-month supply of medicine from India. However, I am concerned about how to handle prescription refills once they're here. I understand that to buy pills, I would need a prescription from a family physician in Canada. My question is: will the family physician issue a prescription without knowing the current level of diabetes? Would they require lab reports before doing so?
Additionally, are these lab tests and subsequent prescription costs covered by the insurance policy, given that they are non-emergency situations? Does anyone have experience with managing diabetes, obtaining prescriptions, and going through lab tests under such circumstances?
Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I have a question.
My grandmother has recently received the supervisa on her passport, however, she is in canada right now with her visitor visa. She has a US Visitor visa as well.

Can I take her to the USA and return to canada the same day by land, but this time enter with her supervisa to start that counting? she is in canada for 1 month so far. I am thinking to go to niagara falls in USA, and comeback through the rainbow bridge.

let me know please.

Hello,

I will be applying for a super visa for my mother.
Can either medicals or biometrics process be completed proactively before starting the application process? Or is this something that should happen in sequence during the application process?
Any advice on this will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey,
Yes, you can have her complete the medical.
you can upload the medical certificate while uploading other docs.
Buy 1 year visitor insurance and upload the confirmation.
biometrics will be requested in a week after submitting the application.

Thanks for your response!
Also, is it true that you cannot apply for a super visa while in Canada? I was thinking of applying from within Canada as my mother has a visitor visa.

No stamp on supervisa

guys, quick question,I took my mother in law to USA and cameback to canada through rainbow bridge (ontario) so she could enter with the supervisa. I explained to thE IRCC officer our intentions, and he was ok with everything, and said that she could stay 5 years from now on. The thing is that he did not stamp the passport. Ircc portal says that if there is no stamp, the time already started from the moment she entered.

the thing is this, we are planning to go to USA next year and comeback to canada, how will we explain this to IRCC when she comesback? Is it recorded in their system? Should I go again to usa and comeback and request a visa stamp now? She also has a visitor visa, and entered in july this year, I would not like her to have a problem about it.

please, advise. Thank you.

Pasting what the website says:
If parents and grandparents who possess the temporary resident super visa or letter of introduction have a stamp in their passport with no handwritten date, or if they have no stamp, then the period of authorized stay is 5 years from the date of entry.
