Parents Super Visa Application 2019

Hello all,

I am starting this thread as I want to apply for Super Visa for my Parents and I need your help to clarify some of the confusions I have about the requirements.

My parents are living in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

First Query:

My first query is about "Financial support (proof of funds)". I am living in Montreal, Quebec with my husband and daughter. And I want to apply for my parents. So, my household will have 5 members (me, my husband and daughter, my father and mother).

The size of my family unit will be 5. So, according to the above Income Table Minimum necessary gross income should be $52,583, right?

Is this applicable for Montreal, Quebec as well?

Again, do I need to show this income for last 1 year or last 3 consecutive years?

Second Query:

My second query is about the medical insurance which needs to be taken from a Canadian insurance company that is:

• valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
• at least $100,000 coverage
• have proof that the medical insurance has been paid (quotes aren’t accepted)

Can you give me some suggestions regarding this? Like, from which Canadian insurance company can I get the medical insurance? How much should it cost for both my parents?

you may contact your Canadian bank insurance division.

my wife and me have $23000 saving in our account
my question Am I eligible to apply for super visa for my parents

Yes as long as you meet LICO.

Hello everyone...my parents r coming on supervisa...should i book their ticket as oneway or return ticket..??coz some people are telling me i have book their return ticket as well coz that's what immigration officer look for...plz reply thnx

Your parents need to apply out of Canada for a supervisa.

They did back in August 2019 and they completed their biometrics in October in London and since then they have heard nothing, THe processing time states 83 days and they are now at over 140 days. Numerous webforms have been sent and all they get is a automated response saying its in processing. You can't speak to anyone directly in London.

They came over for christmas and the border agent gave them a six month stay on the ETA program and when i spoke to an IRCC agent in canada, they said that because the border agent gave them a 6 month stay on the visa free program, it will more than likely delay their supervisa application which i was so confused about. He said he would email me some information about this as i just think he wanted me off the phone but the information he sent is just about the different visa options.

They are also in the final stage of their PGP 2019 program but that is within the current timescales

We applied for supervisas at the beginning of April 2018, did medicals in UK and came to Canada on 1st May 2018. Supervisas were approved mid June along with PPR, we sent passports by courier back to family in the UK who submitted them for us to have the counterfoil inserted, they then had them courier back to us in Canada.

Can someone help me? I am applying for my mother-in-law,super visa. Does she need any explanation letter why she is coming to Canada? We made our invitation letter
