Parents sponsoship - Applciation forwarded to London Visa Office

Hello,

I got an email from CIC today saying "you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor and the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in London for further processing."

Does anyone know what would be the next steps? and how long the whole process will take before the visa is issued?

You will be sent a medical request. Also if you have not already done so you will be asked to submit police certificates.
Following the medicals you will receive a request to submit passports for visa.

The whole process can easily take upwards of 12 months to complete.
