hi, salam i got to share some info. parent sponsorship time line describes on CIC web in processing time area, is not true, my friend apply june 2008 , he got letter in feb 2011 process started in missisauga, but same day web site processing time list says thay cic is working on application which recieved on 27th sept 2007. data entery is false, same thing with citizenship application, i recieved letter at home, but sebsite shows nothing.maybe cic wants to stop and discourge peoples to sponsor family. so they shows big back log.

Yes you are correct.
The parents and other relative sponsoring is too much slow comparing to spouse in family class.
I heard the news that Ministry has taken some decision (?) to cut down the percentage of family class immigration.

I think that the spousal apps are taking way too long because of parental apps clogging up the system.

In my mind, spousal apps deserve higher priority than the adoption ones that are done almost immediately by the sounds of things.

I have submitted my sponsorship to petition my mother and 19 years old brother on October 2008 to come to Canada. I did not include my sister who was 22 years old at that time and her 4 year old son as my income is not enough to support a family of 6(including me and my spouse). But in 2009, our income had changed and now can include my sister and her son in the application.

Is it still possible to include my sister and her son in the sponsorship application even if I already submitted the application on October 2008? The only thing that I have right now from CIC is a confirmation that they have received the application.

Your sister is over 22 so can't be included in the application.

sister can not be sponsored by u, but if u live in sask. or manitoba 1 year, then apply snip, u can get her too, or live in newfound land labrador, then sponsor her, can come with her baby, or in prince edward island, u live 2 years then sponsor her, can come.
check, provinical nominee programmes, for this kind of relatives, will need sacrefisies. ( Qurbani)

You are truly right daffodails3, we will have to sacrifice but hey if I can bring my sister and her baby, I will take it. We are looking at either Manitoba or Saskatchewan.
