If it's you + spouse + 2 kids + 2 parents, then your family size is 6. You and your spouse's combined income must equal to:

2017 $76,015
2016 $75,174
2015 $73,733

You can't count the income your spouse earned while on EI.

Your mother must still be included in your family size, and she must still pass a medical exam, even if she is not immigrating.

Do you meet these income requirements for all 3 years??

1. Number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are still in effect. ( it is refering to this undertaking im doing or if i have a previous one?)

Yes other previous sponsorships counts like your in-laws if you previously sponsored them.

It's your total income earned, so line 150 of tax return less any non-qualifying amounts (like EI payments).

Your family size for all previous years, is the family size as of when you submit the application. Family size value should never change.

Your count at home, PLUS the parent you are sponsoring that is principal applicant PLUS their spouse or dependent kids.

Hi All,

I have recently got the PR and will be landing in late July. I also applied a visitor visa for my mother which got refused and the reason was travel history, family ties in Canada and assets & funds, however, there were enough funds (approx $50000) and a property too. What is the right time to apply for her visitor visa again as she’ll be all alone once I leave for Canada.

She got refused probably because the $50,000 isnt really hers, it belonged to someone else who temporarily sent the money to her

No, it’s a 5 year old fixed deposit which she has got after her retirement.
