Timeline:

Sponsorship Application sent (sponsoring my mother in the Philippines)-September 2009
Acknowledgement letter that application was received - December 2009
Additional Documents requested - March 2012
Additional Documents sent to CPC- Mississauga - May 2012
Acknowledgement letter that additional documents received - May 2012

What happens next?

I used to check online my application using the financial receipt (IMM 5401) when I paid the original sponsorship application. It says application received but status is not available. After I sent my additional documents including the landing fee, I am not able to check my application online using either of the old and new financial receipts and even either my name or my mother's name.

Pls help...

maybe you try the immigration file number for your mother's applications..

The next thing is approval/disapproval of the sponsor.

I received the acknowledgement letter (dated May 15, 2012) on May 18 that additional documents were received and application is complete. I received it via mail. Thanks.

I have a pending sponsorship application for my mom. I already submitted my additional documents required this month.Does anybody know what if I accept a temporary work in the US as travel nurse like 8-week or 12-week assignments? These are short term assignments and I still have my address here in Canada. Once my mom is here of course I will stay here. Please help.

What day of May did you send the additional documents?
It seems fast for you to receive the AOR in the same month you sent the additional docs.
Do you have dependants in your file? Based on my observation, applications with mother and/or father only process faster than with dependants. And since you already received the AOR, the letter of approval will most likely soon be sent to you.

I sent the additional docs on May 3rd and I received the AOR dated May 15 on May 18 that they received additional docs on May 4th. I'm only sponsoring my mom, no dependents. I hope its faster with applicants with no dependents. Thanks.

Hi all,

Just giving you guys an update. I just got the approval of my sponsorship application yesterday March 24 and now the file is transferred to LVO Manila.
