Hi,

My parents and younger sister's PCC, medical are done. We have sent the complete file to Delhi few days ago.
now we are waiting for passport request.

On an average, i have seen that it takes 4-6 months for the VO to ask for passports. In the meantime, if they wish to go to a foreign country (UK), can they do so? Will it effect the processing of visa in any case?
Do we have to take approvals from the VO, if so, could you please let me know the right way?

Please note that we have sent all the Travel Information, other forms like Generic, Additional Family Information, Schedule A Background/Declaration form, TRavel form containing details of thier travel outside India in the last 10 year.

Palu can you please tell me once the file was transferred to LVO which forms were asked to submit along with PCC? I have not sent the PCC with additional docs request. So, expecting to receive that request from LVO. My file was transferred in Jan 2014 to UK visa Office.
Also, do you know if there is any validity for PCC? My mom is in canada on super visa, .and she brought the PCC with her from backhome IN Sep. I am not sure they will be valid for until when.

They might ask updated PCC which you can get from Pakistan Consulate

received a letter to pay landing fee for my parents their application been in process since dec 16 2013. I wonder how far they have come and what stage their application is at.

The e-Cas status is still showing as 'application recevied'. Since my parents have got their medical, PCC and file sent to Delhi in this month only, do you have any idea how much time does it take to get the passport request (on an average)?

I am more concerned about the 'Travel Information' that we sent along with the application. If my parents travel to the UK in the next 3-7 months and stay with me, will it, in anyway, effect the visa processing? Also embassy won't have this latest travel information with them. Is there anything we should communicate to Embassy Delhi?

You have mentioned that as a courtesy, we may write details of their anticipated foreign travel details to them, will you please suggest the way to do it. Suppose if they are planning to travel in the month of June, when and to whom, which way of communication shall we use to send the details across? Is it mandatory to inform them?

My second question is about my mother's passport. Her passport is expiring in DEc 2014. Since we have already submtted the entire application to VO Delhi in FEb this year (please note that her current passport is still valid).

We are planning to get her passprot renewed in the coming 2-3 months, if we don;t hear anything from VO Delhi. What is the process to inform VO about getting new passport?

There is another question related to 'PCC'. My parents went to Canada as a visitor in Feb 2009-Sep 2009 (more than 6 months). We have sent the complete application package to VO Delhi in this month with PCC from India.
We didn't get it from Canada. WWill there be any problem?

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Only in certain cases. The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed.

How and where do I obtain one?
If the visa office asks you to complete a criminal record check, visit the RCMP website for instructions.

You submit this info when you are asked to send passports, in a plain piece paper with dates

Get new passport asap, email VO with file # and put that you have new passport and mail new and old for passport submission at later stage

Dont worry abot Canadian PCC, they will ask for it if they need it - normally they do own trace and in some cases, ask the applicant to visit ND for fingerprints ( its rare though )

Finally got my request for additional info, passport and police record. This request came in the same manner as the request for medical in December 2013 via my email. The letter states that my file is in the final stage and that I should expect a final decision in 2-3 weeks. My LVO is Port-of-Spain (Trinidad)
