My mother will be sponsoring majority of my POF, she has decided to convert mutual funds equivalent to the minimum fund I need to an FD. My father has invested most of his savings to mutual funds so I will also be attaching information on that. Although I read that parents can sponsor children’s PR, will it be necessary for my mother to first transfer the converted mutual fund amount to my savings account and then convert it to FD or can she do it herself and sign a declaration that I have access to her funds?
