Hi, I have some questions regarding having my parents in Canada along with work permit. I will be eligible to file upcoming (hoping for 2022) parents sponsor visa for them. Due to
lottery system and Covid situation it is uncertain to say how long it will take to pick their files up and have them PR in future.
If you can advise below questions would be of a great help:

1. Is there a way to file work permit for parents (they are 60years old & around 30years of job experience in export import sales/marketing)? Not eligible for skilled worker express entry :(
2. Is it possible to apply for 1 year study course and get work permit and then PR?
3. is there any PNP program who can allow old age people to invite their province and work?
4. any other helpful ideas/information would be appreciated

Thanks in advance!

1. To qualify for a work permit, they need to secure a job offer in Canada and an approved LMIA from an employer. Then they can apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.
2. They can try but they will lose significant points due to their age. So programs like Express Entry really won't be possible for them. Probably the best bet is an investor / entreprenuer program if they have savings of several hundred thousand dollars or over a million and are willing to invest significant money in a business in Canada (i.e. a few hundred thousand dollars Canadian in a business).
3. Which province do you live in? You should investigate the PNP program for that province since your parents have ties there.

1. There is currently no work permit available for parents pending PGP PR sponsorship application. (It doesn't even exist for outland spousal sponsorship) And getting them to qualify for closed work permit with LMIA would be pretty hard.
2. I really double your parents will get approved for study permit. It needs to fit their career path and it's hard to convince a visa officer for a 60 years old to invest time and money for career advancement at this stage of life.

That's my "not very useful answers".
