and it cost alot somewhere between rs65000 to rs lakh
my family paid 70 000 rs to the lab
as they paid from india so they dint paid GST and other taxes .

hi eric leon
I am the sponsor and our visa office is new delhi, they ask a birth certificate for dependant, not for sponsor. for me they ask to send a marriage certificate, 10th or 12th certificate not birth certificate.

Hi Senior Members,

I am planning to submit sponsorship application for my dad this January 2016. As part of supporting documents, CIC requires my dad's birth certificate.
The problem is, he doesn't have a birth certificate and neither can he apply for one as there was no official birth records in those days.
I am sure some of you may have had a similar situation. I am thinking of enclosing an explanation letter to CIC. Please advise?

Also, should I include PCC along with the initial submission for sponsorship appl?

Thanks

Did you check the document checklist? To sponsor your parents, you need to provide a copy of your own birth certificate not your parent's. If you are sponsoring your grandparents then you will have to submit your parent's birth certificate

does anybody know what's the next step after passport request? Sponsoring parents from Philippines. I'm hoping we are almost at the end. How many more steps before the actual visa and what would the timeline be? I would really appreciate a reply... Thanks and good luck to everyone

Send a copy/conformation of application for admission for the PhD program (any receipts, correspondence, payment, etc). Include a letter detailing your educational qualifications, and write to them that you're waiting for enrollment, and still living with parents, etc.
Send everything ASAP to them.

In my case application was submitted in December 2009 by my sister. I am the only dependent. File transfered in November 2014. Passports, medical and other documents submitted January 2015. Then had to go for fringprints in July 2015 coz of my previous stay in Canada. The results were sent by Rcmp to chc delhi on sept 16. Previously ecas showed starting processing on may 2015 now for a week or so it is showing the date the file was transferred i.e November 2014.
Hope we hear good news soon.

Not sure if it is a good news, same happened to my ecas status also. Previously it shows "we started processing your application Jun 15, 2015" now it changed the date to "April 15, 2015. I received my GCMS today, the only thing I am curious about is under the Application Eligibility it has a due date of Nov 15, 2015. Could that mean by Nov 15, 2015 the eligibility will be decided.

That means they have to finalize eligibility by November 15. It can be done on any date before that. Have seen many cases in which bfwd date in gcma notes in weeks away but they do get correspondence from vo before that.
