Hi Members,

My sister has applied for sponsorship for my parents and younger brother in 2010. She got a request from CPC-M for additonal documents and forms in May 2013 which she has submitted. She got a letter from CPC-M saying that her file is now complete and will be placed in he processing queue.

What is the next step in the process and how long should it take?

Thanks

Abbey

Hi, could you please share more info. Which month in 2010 did your sister file the application? It sounds strange that she got additional documents request in May... as many of us received this request only in August...
Which month did your sister send the complete package to Mississauga & when did she receive a letter from them about file completeness?

Thank you very much in advance.

In answer to your question - it can take upto a few months for Mississauga to process your file and make a decision.

Thank you for your reply. Hope you hear from them the soonest as all of us (2009 -2010) applicants will be looking forward to hear the good news from you.

P.S. It really sounds strange that you got the request earlier than 2009 applicants...maybe your case is different in some way.

Please keep us posted.

There could be some exception too... but it's still hard to understand it. Is there anyone else who received the additional document request so early?

At least we know now that when to expect the acknowledgement letter from Mississauga.

Dear Friends,

Can anybody confirm when 'Parents Sponsorship' is expected to be re-opened? As per CIC website, it was closed in Nov 2011 for 24 months which means it should be active next month i.e. Oct.

Further, has anybody tried the 'super visa' for parents and expected timelines ?

Which process is easier/faster and good in longer run, immigration or super visa ?

Thanks.

Easier & faster - supervisa. Good in longer run - it depends on if you want your parents to live with you in Canada or just come & visit from time to time.

Hi
in any case you have to inform. I also did so, but before that i geared up my business collection and calculate my family + 2 parents= how much i need to earn. so as soon as possible boost your taxes with by consulting your charted accountant and submit the tax
and also make a declaration by sending the child's birth certificate to them.

at a later stage it will be like starting the re-process.

what is your e-status as of now.
