Actually, they would have UCI if they applied for visa in the last 2 years or so even if they didn't apply for extension. Now they put UCI on visas that they stamp on the passport. It is an 8-digit number on the visa.

If your parents have never applied to extend their stay in Canada, then they wouldn't have UCI. Hope this helps

right... I totally forgot about that. My parents are from the visa-exempt country so they didn't apply for Canadian Visitor Visa.. Thanks for catching it.


I got a question for Schedule A (IMM-5669). Question 8 Personal history, do we need to fill out every single details such as a 2-day trip to United states? I'm just wondering how detail it needs to be. Thanks!

when we filled in a form and clicked on validation, we got a message that it was connecting to remote server and in a second or two got all the barcodes. it's a new version of this form - updated in July 2013.
