parents sponsership

We applied for my parents sponsorship (from UK) in September 2009 and received request for additional information in May 2012. Documents sent June 2012 and confirmation received from CPC Mississauga.

August 2012 confirmation of sponsor approval, and application for PR has been forwarded to Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further processing (If at any time local knowledge is req'd, the file may be forwarded to the relevant visa office for processing and final decision).

So the waiting game begins...has anyone else got to this stage, and how long did you wait for further correspondence??

No, not yet. I expect to receive medical request some time in Oct-Nov.

Re: parents sponsership

You will get medical request between 60 to 75 days after the file transfer date (as per past experience )

i believe that F means Family...

i believe that 'Medicals received' means that medical office has finished reviewing the case and it is received by the visa office... so no additional med's...

Thanks, shuga; upon more reading, it became obvious for me too what F stands for.

Concerning the 'Medicals Received': that's almost sure that no additional meds are required. (That's good news).
But now I'm just picturalizing the worst scenario... Even without additional meds, a diagnostic could be BAD: it is possible that a very sick applicant not be requested extra meds, as his actual illness is visible....
Any hints about such kind of illnesses? (the gov/t site mentions only "permanent hospitalization"
So, 'med received' could be 'good med received' or 'bad meds received' and it depends strictly on the LVO to take the decision....

A last thought: Asking for a GCMS in this moment ( 'med received') would provide me more info about the medical file, at least the medical diagnostic? I took a look at some excerpts here but it's not clear for me.

i guess you are right... but i believe that if it's that bad then a doctor would have told about it and it can not be unexpected...

getting GCMS notes will take a month... it will show if medicals are passed or not...

'Medicals passed' would mean 'Positive evaluation of the applicant, from a medical point of view'? That's great.
I understood you have already asked for GCMS: did it provide you with such an information?

BTW (and sorry if i'm abusing your patience): Have been here users whose applications got refused upon medical grounds? Were they announced sooner or just at the very botton,, after 'Decision Made' status?

I just saw that % of innacceptability in LVOs (following a link to some sponsorourparents org chart, page ~ 50): an acceptability rate of 90% means that, statistically, even here, 1 user out of 10 got rejected.. it's huge :()

what is next now?

today online status changed to Decision made from in process mode.

now it says following statement online:

We received xxxxxx's application for permanent residence on March 25, 2008.

We started processing xxxxxxxx's application on June 23, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on xxxxxxxx's application. The office will contact xxxxxxxxx concerning this decision.

Means my file has been approved or CIC will asked for more details or more medical test?

I sent orignal passport and medical in 4th August to CIC - New Delhi.

What is next now? Statement says CIC will contact my parents that means are they going to call parents or sending letter or what? My parents are not good in english speaking so i am little bit in worry.

your opinion would be much apereciated.

Regards

congrats Rick!!!

Many congratulations Rick2007

I will request GCMS notes to see what is going on with my file.

Original Apply: May 2009
Request for Docs letter: March 30, 2012
First time Docs sent: May 2012
Docs returned(signature issue): June 2012
Docs re-sent to CPC-M: July 2012

No AOR or Approval yet, it will be 2 months by next week.....still waiting for CPC-M.

Some people got AOR after a week or 2 of sending documents, there is so much inconsistency @ CPC-M.
hopefully I can hear something positive in year 2012.

Hi to all frnds [Decision made on sponsership part on 29 august 2012 i got the letter today file transfer to New delhi/move] :D

yes - GCMS notes provide info if medicals passed or not... for example my father's status for medicals says: Passed and Description says: No health impairment sufficient to prevent admission for medical reasons under Section 38 (1) (a)

i havn't heard about people at this thread that were medically inadmissable due to excessive demand... but i've read about such cases.... in this case cic sends 'fairness letter' and you still can fight...
